Pujari will participate in Project OpenHand 2011

Posted in Announcements by Pujari Atlanta on August 22, 2011

Dear Pujari patrons,

As most of you are aware, this is Pujari’s 25th year of thriving as a socio-cultural organization. Continuing in our tradition to give back to the community that we live in, like last year, this year too Pujari is participating in the Project Open Hand community development project (http://www.projectopenhand.org/). It provides comprehensive nutrition care for a diverse population with unique nutrition needs and has been serving the community for the past 22 years.

Pujari is calling for volunteers to participate in this community outreach and enrichment effort on August 28th, 2011.  (9am to 12 noon) As a group we will volunteer to pack and seal food boxes that will be delivered to these individuals with special dietary needs. Kids 7 years and above are allowed to join us.

Here is a quick snippet of Project Open Hands

Purpose
To serve our community by empowering people to live healthier, more productive lives.

Please respond to pr@pujari.org via email letting us know if you wish to volunteer for this cause. Please include the names and ages of all your family members who can participate. Kids 7 years and above are allowed to join us.

Pujari community development project – Open Hand

Posted in Events by Pujari Atlanta on August 4, 2010

Dear patrons,

Young Pujari volunteers at Open Hand

Young Pujari volunteers at Open Hand

Pujari participated in the Open Hand community development project on August 1st 2010. Our 34 volunteers, as a team,  packed and sealed  2000+ food boxes on that day. Pujari also donated $200.00 to Open Hand on that day. Open Hand officials were overwhelmed by the large participation and support from our team.

We proudly like to mention that in our team we had many young members as young as 8 yr old volunteer. This was a wonderful and memorable experience to work with them for a great cause.

Pujari 2010 EC congratulates all volunteers and encourages everyone to join such events in future. It is sincerely worth doing.

Special thanks go to Mr. Satya Mukhopadhyay, to lead this great initiative on behalf of Pujari.
