FUNGAMA–Final teams announced

Under popular demand, we now have finalized 4 teams with 5 participants in each team for a total of 20 young adults. Please note this is the final list of the teams and participants.

The participants are encouraged to practice with each other and other friends on the dumb charades segment of Fungama.

Pujari presents FUNGAMA…

Pujari proudly presents FUNGAMA for the young adult community between the ages of 8 & 18 years at this Saraswati Puja as part of the cultural program celebration on Feb 5, 2011. The event is scheduled to start around 4:45 pm, just before the snack hour and after the kids’ variety show.

In essence, Fungama is a fascinating blend of quiz, dumb charades, and battle of wits –a perfect potpourri of intellect, fun, and excitement.

  • Participants – Young adults between the ages of 8 – 18 years
  • Teams (4×4)– Four teams of four members each (Total of 16 people)
  • Rules –Two rounds of quiz, two rounds of dumb charades, and two rounds of a multi-media round of the battle of wits. There will be fun questions from the field of math, science, movies, arts, and a lot more…
  • Adult & Audience participation for Dumb Charades
  • Prize for the winning team

So hold your breath kids… Do not miss on this fun event and send in your entries before Jan 31, 2011 to any of the following:

Saraswati Puja 2011

Dear Pujari Patrons,

Pujari cordially invites you and your family to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja on Saturday, February 5, 2011. As a part of the celebration, Pujari has organized a Cultural Variety Program and a colorful and humorous Magic Show for all of us to enjoy together!

Our venue is Berkmar High School at 405 Pleasant Hill Road NW, Lilburn, GA 30047.

The day’s celebrations are scheduled as follows:

  • Puja at 10:00 am
  • Anjali at 12:30 noon
  • Bhog at 1:00 pm
  • Cultural Program at 3:30 pm
  • Magic Show at 6:00 pm
  • Dinner at 7:30 pm

‘Kalakriti 2010’: Kids Paintings for ‘Pujari’ Saraswati Puja

Dear Pujari Patrons,

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season. As you know Saraswati Puja is around the corner. Once again we invite our young members to come forward and be an extension of the decoration team.

The themes for Saraswati Puja 2010 will be:

1. Swans and/or
2. Flowers

Kids can choose one or both themes. We are inviting at least one otherwise two entries.

Age groups:

  1. Under 6
  2. 6 – 10 yrs
  3. 10 – 14 yrs

Medium:

The kids are free to express any one of these themes thru:

  • Sketches or
  • Paintings or
  • Collage/Mosaics craft works or
  • Finger painting etc.

They can use any medium of paint or any form of craft supplies to give shape to this theme.

Paper options: Construction paper, Colored paper, Chart paper, plain paper etc.

Size: Not bigger that 1/4th of a chart paper (just like last time)

Rules:

* Kids need to write their Names behind their submissions and their age in front of the submissions.
* Parents may give ideas but are requested NOT to help them make it, as the entries may be judged for Prizes.

Submission:

Entries may be submitted to Mayuri or Indrani Kar at the rehearsals

Or

Directly mailed to Aradhana Bhattacharya at her home address (pls. let me know if you need my home address)

Due Date: Jan 9th or 10th, 2010

Please let me know if you have any questions. Hope the kids will be using their winter vacation to complete this fun project.

Thank you note for Saraswati puja

Thank you very much for joining us on January 31st, 2009 to celebrate our first event of the year ‘Saraswati Puja’. It was absolutely not possible to host an event of this volume without your active participation and encouragement. I hope you all enjoyed our Puja, activities for different ages, food and cultural program; there are always different avenues to improve which we’ll achieve through your dynamic involvement.

It was indeed a great experience for me to work with such a dedicated, resourceful group and thanking you all.
